Asian Monolid Eye Makeup

black brown eyeliner with asian eyes

It's a fact: more and more ethnic minorities in America are choosing to have plastic surgery than ever before. Research has shown that from 2000 to 2005 there has been a 65 percent increase in the number of people from ethnic minority groups going under the knife for cosmetic reasons, and that statistic is steadily growing.
It is estimated that about 50 percent of all people of Asian descent have what is known as a "single fold" eye or mono-lid, with the existence of the crease often dependent on the country of origin. In Asia, double eyelid surgery is the most popular cosmetic procedure, although it takes third place among Asian-Americans in the US, just behind nose and boob jobs.
However, an increasing number of minorities are opting to have "ethnic plastic surgery", or procedures which some people see as being done solely to erase ethnic characteristics and make them conform more closely to the perceived white ideal. From nose jobs to narrow an African nose to eyelid operations to make an Asian eye appear more rounded, these procedures are gaining in popularity - although they are widely contested.
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the following operations are the most popular among ethnic minority groups:
* Nose-reshaping: the most common op among African-Americans and Hispanics
* Breast augmentation: the second most popular procedure among Hispanics
* Breast reduction: the second most popular among Africa-Americans
* Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery: the second most popular cosmetic operation among Asians
Asian Double Eyelid Surgery
It is estimated that about 50 percent of all people of Asian descent have what is known as a "single fold" eye or mono-lid, with the existence of the crease often dependent on the country of origin. In Asia, double eyelid surgery is the most popular cosmetic procedure, although it takes third place among Asian-Americans in the US, just behind nose and boob jobs.
Several tried-and-tested techniques are used to achieve this double eyelid, including:
Suture method. A series of tiny incisions along the crease line, and then tight sutures under the skin. When the skin is lifted and folded back a not completely natural-looking crease is made. Although this method is cheap and has good results, they are not permanent.
Full incision method. The surgeon makes an incision in a the shape of a half moon along the incision line, then strips of muscle, orbital septum and occasionally fat are taken out (these are also removed in traditional eyelid surgery). The two sides are then sewn permanently together, so the result is long-lasting and looks more natural, especially when the patient blinks.
Double Standard Twist (DST) method. Best of both worlds (in the immortal words of Hannah Montana). Fat is removed through incisions while sutures lift the lid. Less-invasive and can results can last as long as a decade.
Laser Surgery. Sutures create a new crease but lasers are used to take away excess fat, tissue and muscle. No cutting required and less bruising than with other methods.
Please note that there are risks and side-effects no matter what type of procedure you choose. These include infection, initial bruising and swelling, itching, eye gumminess and light sensitivity. Scarring can take up to six months to disappear - or more.
Why Do It?
Plastic surgeons who advertise double eyelid surgery are often quick to point out that they are not helping their patients look more Caucasian, but helping them to feel more confident and create a better personal look for them as individuals. Typically, they say that Asians approach them because they want to look more "bright-eyed", with eyes that appear wider.
According to some plastic surgeons, a single crease means the eye appears to be "taut and heavy", making the person appear older than they really are - even if they are in their twenties. They also say that having a single-fold eye means that make-up is more difficult to apply, and that it makes the eyelashes less visible.
"Many prospective patients say a single eyelid makes them look sleepy or tired and that it makes their eyes look too small," according to PlasticSurgery.com, which claims the first operation of the kind took place in Japan way back in 1896. "Most Asian patients don't want to change the natural almond shape of their eyes, but just have eyelids that are less heavy looking, with brighter eyes."
People who are opposed to double eyelid surgery, however, say that the goal is to make one's ethnicity appear less obvious. "Double eyelid surgery is unnatural and people who do it are buying into a beauty myth that is not Asian-based," says Martin Wong, editor of Asian art and culture magazine Giant Robot.
"It's really just self-mutilation and a lot of it sadly is interjected by parents and their ideas. It's heartbreaking that these young girls don't have cultural pride; that they're ashamed of who they are and how they look."

Asian Smokey Eye Tutorial

Amazing Tips For an Asian Smokey Eye Look

If you look, you'll see many people every day wearing this classic look. This tutorial refers to using black and brown eyeshadow, but you can use other eyeshadow colors to match your clothes.
To start, apply concealer and any other products that you normally use. My recommendation is Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind concealer. Curl eyelashes before getting started with this look.
To get started, grab a small makeup brush and some white eyeshadow. Get some eyeshadow from the inner corner of the eye to the bottom of the brow bone.
Using the same brush, apply grey eyeshadow to the middle of the eyelid, slightly overlapping the white eyeshadow from the last step. Finally, apply black eyeshadow to the outside of the lid, overlapping the gray eyeshadow. You should now have three bands of eyeshadow, lightest nearest your nose and darkest at the outside edges of your eyes.
Use a blending brush to blur the transitions between the three eyeshadows, pulling the eyeshadow into any creases in your eyelids as well. Move the brush back and forth across the eyelid to make a smooth, seamless blend.
Add a brown shadow above the eyelid crease. Apply lightly, blending as you go. The brown should extend slightly outside of the black shadow on the outside of your eyelid. Use your blending brush to smooth the brown into the black, gray, and white eyeshadows below. If you don't blend everything smoothly, it ends up looking awkward!
Contouring makes this look stand out even more! Grab your white eyeshadow again and apply to the brow bone, smoothing as you go. This makes the smokey eye look stand out even more.

Apply black eyeliner to darken the eye, and then add mascara to complete the smokey eye look. It's important to use the brown (or some other color) because using just black, gray, and white ends up looking too monochromatic and unnatural. The brown helps the outside of the smokey eye blend into your natural skin tone.

How To Make Smokey Eyes For Asians

Here I am going to explain in simple steps how to apply eye makeup that will stay on for many hours and the look we are going to create is called "Smokey Eyes"
First cleanse, tone and moisturise your skin following your normal skin care routine
Allow fifteen minutes for your skin to neutralise (in simple terms -sink in) once you have applied your moisturiser
Smokey Eyes. Using powder eye shadows.
You will need the following.
Concealer brush. Eyeshadow brush. Dome shaped brush. Eyeliner brush.
Select three shades of eyeshadow, a base colour, a mid colour and a more defining colour. Eyeliner or very dark eye shadow. Mascara.
Apply a concealer all over the eye area from the lash line of the upper eye lid to the eye brows and going beneath the lower lashes, and into the corner of the eye. This gives your eye shadow a sound base to adhere to and evens out the skin tone.
Now apply using your eye shadow brush apply the base colour, use small circular movements working in from the outer corner, over the eye socket and into the corner of the eye. Repeat this clouds and rainbows technique (the name for the small circular movements) two or three times until the area is soundly covered.
Using the same brush now apply the mid tone you have selected, being sure to shake any excess of powder away from your brush. Start once more at the outer corner of the eye and using clouds and rainbows technique work above the eye socket in to the inner corner and back across the eyelid. As before repeat enough times to ensure sufficient coverage.
Now for the definition of the eye.take your brush and apply the darkest shade (shaking away excess as before)Starting at the outer corner, trace the outline of your eyeball to half way across the eyelid going back and forth blending this colour into the mid tone. Now take your dome shaped brush and apply to this the darker shade and apply beneath the lower lashes, stopping where the natural lash line ends.
Using your eyeliner brush apply to this either your eyeliner or a dark eye shadow and starting at the outer corner apply by using a sweeping technique directly above the lash line, you can sweep this right the way along into the inner most corner of the eye to create a lovely almond shaped eye.

Make Up For Asian Eyes

How To Do It Right

Asian eyes are unique in their beauty, and make up application requires a little more attention and practice. Make up that looks good on Caucasian eyes will not necessarily look good on Asian eyes. Whether you have Asian eyes yourself or you are a make up artist with an Asian client, you want to bring out the best in those gorgeous eyes. Below are some tips and tricks in order to make those beautiful Asian eyes pop.

Asian eyes can be really fun to apply make up on, but this must be done right. First, Asian eyebrows almost always need some attention. Use an eyebrow pencil that is close to your hair color and lightly fill in your brows. Make sure to get a brush with a smudge stick on the end. This helps keep the brows looking natural and not painted on. If you have bald patches in your eyebrows, you should still color in the whole brow rather than just penciling in the bald area. Choose a color slightly lighter than your hair color. Most Asian skin tones look good with light and medium brown eyebrows. Many women make the mistake of using a black pencil on their brows, which clashes with most Asian complexions. Another option is to use special eyebrow shadow. This creates a more natural and gentle look, and is more user friendly than a pencil. You can also play around with both and see what works for you.
Many Asian women try to make their eyes look bigger and more Caucasian looking. This could be extremely time consuming and not at all necessary in order to make their eyes attractive. Rather than trying to change what you have, try putting your efforts more into enhancing it. Rather than making your eyes look artificially wide, accentuating the Asian slant is much more attractive.
Another mistake many Asian women make is using too much eyeshadow. This actually makes the eye look smaller. To enhance the eye area and open it up, use brown and gold tones on your eyes. Just a small amount of eyeshadow is enough to enhance the already beautiful Asian eye. You can also use several different colors within the same family. Apply a base color to the entire eyelid. This will be the lightest of the colors you want to use. Take a darker shade and blend into the first color on the outside of the lid. Make sure to blend well and not leave any lines.
Eyeliner is a very important cosmetic tool for Asian eyes. Asian women can get away with heavy liner, so this is your time to do it up. Use a very sharp pencil and apply it as closely to the lashes as possible. The line should get relatively thicker from the inside of the eyelid to the outside. Colors that look best are black and dark brown. You can also apply a thin line on the lower eyelid.
Asian women also tend to have very sparse lashes, so investing in a good thickening mascara would be wise. Apply at least two coats on each eye, and one coat on the bottom lashes. Using an eyelash curler would help to open up the eye.
To finish off the look, a great lip gloss would do the trick. You don't need much color on your lips, since all of the attention is going straight to your eyes.
It would be worth it to invest in getting a few of your favorite go to products wholesale. Certain essentials like mascara and black eyeliner will be used often, so you will save time and money by buying these items in bulk.

Professional Makeup Brush Set

Professional Makeup Brush Set

For models and people who are in the limelight, especially who do not have their private makeup artist, you definitely need to get yourself your own professional makeup brush set. As much as allowed, you will need to use it to put on your own makeup primarily for sanitary reasons. Enough said.
If you are satisfied with just a miniature brush that comes free with a makeup you bought, think twice. Truly, a professional brush is different from a mini brush. Mini brushes have synthetic materials that could irritate a sensitive skin. Also, the bristles in a mini brush are quite brittle so it tends to fall off easily, making them temporary.
Professional brushes generally cost more and are never given free and rightly so. Few pro brushes contain synthetic materials. Most come from sables, goats and even squirrels. Professional makeup brushes also come in different sizes that will allow for the proper application of makeup into the face or the body.
For everyday make up, here are the four most common applicators you will need to achieve best results on applying your makeup:
The Application Brush is a synthetic brush that is straight and sturdy. This brush is used to apply eye shadows and concealers to areas that need it most. You can find different sizes of this brush so choose that which you will need.
Angled brushes are used to apply eye liners and eye brow color on sparse spaces on eyebrows with an eye shadow. An angled brush also contains synthetic material and is slanted at an angle. It is a great choice for applying eye liners especially if you have difficulty. All you have to do is to connect the dots to achieve a straight eye line.
Blending brush with synthetic or natural bristles. A blending brush is fluffy and is used to blend eye shadows for removing harsh lines. To achieve a concentrated color blending, the use of a small brush is needed. The larger heads are used to spread out some pigmentation.
Powder brushes are also available with natural materials. This brush should be small enough to apply all over the face and large enough to dust off some blush from the cheeks. The bristles are tapered so blending will be easy and a large head evens it out.
You can build out your set later but first, at least get the basic essentials you need. You will be more satisfied with how your makeup goes on and looking good with your own set of professional makeup brush set.

Mineral Makeup vs Traditional Foundation

Mineral Makeup vs Traditional Foundation

Mineral makeup is the latest trend in cosmetics. It is sold from department store counters, championed on late night infomercials and touted in fashion magazines. How do the various brands differ, and which one is best for you? How does mineral makeup differ from traditional products? Let's take a look.
Despite different brand names and marketing strategies, most mineral makeup has remarkably similar ingredients. Some commonly used minerals include micronized titanium dioxide, micronized zinc oxide, iron oxide, silk mica, and hydrated silica.
Micronized titanium dioxide, a common ingredient in sun block products, is particularly suited to protect skin from damaging sunlight. This white mineral's crystalline structure naturally reflects and defuses the sun's harmful rays. Micronized zinc oxide works in combination with the micronized titanium dioxide to reflect the sunlight's dangerous UVA and UVB rays.
Iron oxide is found in nature in red, orange and yellow hues. These pigments are blended into flesh tones for mineral foundations. Silk mica and hydrated silica soften the mineral compounds for use on the skin. Silk Mica gives mineral makeup a smooth texture, and hydrated silica binds the minerals to make them less messy. Individual brands may add secondary ingredients, such as vitamins, extra skin softeners or stronger pigments to neutralize skin tone.
Mineral makeup can counteract a host of familiar challenges. People prone to allergies or with sensitive skin will find mineral makeup contains no irritating dyes or perfumes. They do not use talc and other fillers that can be harmful to the skin. The acne-prone will find mineral makeup is organic, hypoallergenic and oil free; it will not clog pores like some conventional cosmetics.
Unlike traditional cosmetics, mineral foundations can provide sheer to full coverage. A light, sheer finish can be accomplished by moving the applicator brush in small circles on the face. Mineral makeup can also provide a more opaque texture if applied in layers with a damp sponge, much like you would apply liquid foundation. Fortunately, the consistency of mineral makeup gives coverage without the thick, unnatural, pore-clogging consequences of traditional liquid foundation.
Although mineral makeup has been a fixture in high-end department stores and specialty cosmetics shops for several years, a handful of more economical options are now on the market in drugstores. Consumers can expect to pay $25 for upscale mineral makeup brands, while drugstore mineral makeup from Neutrogena and Physician's Formula range from $9-$12.
With so little variation in actual ingredients, the difference in brands is often limited to marketing strategy. Many brands cater to a specific skin type. For example, Mineralogie claims their mineral makeup is suited to those with oily skin, because it does not include minerals that give other brands a shimmery finish.

Tattoo Cover Up Advice

Tattoo Cover Up Advice

Tattoo is a permanent mark on the body for life. However, it can be removed by laser and often it can be changed or covered, but not always!
Tattoo can be covered if it is old and faded. Fresh tattoo ink is too strong to be covered with colours, so the best option is black. If the tattoo is quite small and you want to cover it with a bigger tattoo- then there is no problem. The only thing you need to do is to find a right artist, one who enjoys doing cover ups and has a portfolio with lots of them in it. You may go to the nearest or cheapest shop, they will say that they will do it for you and it will be cheap. But you know what happens next, don't you? You end up having a bigger tattoo to worry about that is not easy to cover anymore! Best cover up tattoo advice I can give you: Find somebody who knows what they are doing and follow his advice!
A tattoo is OK to cover with color if the image is faded and is at least 8-10 years old. Fresh tattoo ink can be covered with black over it only. If somebody tells you that they can cover black with red- beware!
The colors that work best as a cover up are blues and browns, not reds, oranges or yellows...
The new tattoo will always be bigger than old one. Otherwise the corners would be sticking out or you would end up with black square. I doubt that this is what you want! A good sign of a successful cover up is when no one can tell that it is a cover up at all. If you see some lines showing through or corners sticking out- you will know that something was underneath and other people will notice that too! And you will still get asked "what was there?" A good cover up looks as though there was nothing there before.
If you choose your tattoo wisely you will not need to worry about cover-ups. Do not get something that in the future you may want to change. Girlfriends/ Boyfriends and Husbands/ Wives names are the biggest danger if it's even in Chinese or Arabic. The ex is gone and the name stays! How many times have you seen that? There are no guaranties in life what concern your love life. Another thing to avoid is fashion! Notice what the most popular tattoo is and do not get it. What was popular ten years ago looks silly now. So will this year's too sooner or later. Good idea is to ask your tattooist for information on what is the most popular. (I tell you one word- "stars").
The main tattoo cover up advice I can give you is this: choose what you want to get and find a person who is good at covering up tattoos. They will be honest with you and tell you what works and what doesn't. If there are no cover ups in the artist's portfolio it is better to find somebody else who does have pictures of successful work rather than being a canvas for experiments. Remember, your ideas may not work so be open for suggestions. The most important thing here is to get the mess sorted and replaced with something that you will enjoy. Do not think that you old tattoo can be covered with anything just as long as it is covered! It has got to be something that you like. You will have to live with it.

The Mormon Tattoo & Piercing Controversy

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar

The Mormon Tattoo & Piercing Controversy

For many years tattoos and decorative piercings weren't a real issue for members of the Mormon Church. Until the year 2000, there was only one reference to tattooing in all of Mormon teaching and that was in the 1965 unofficial personal publication Mormon Doctrine by Mormon Apostle, Bruce R. McConkie. It states; "Tattooing is a desecration of the human body and should not be permitted, unless all that is involved is the placing of a blood type or an identification number in an obscure place. Latter-day Saint servicemen in particular are counseled to avoid the pitfalls of tattooing. Persons who are tattooed are not, however, denied the ordinances and blessings of the temple."
In the October 2000 General Conference the first of many "councils" against tattooing was announced.
"We--the First Presidency and the Council of the Twelve--have taken the position, and I quote, that "the Church discourages tattoos. It also discourages the piercing of the body for other than medical purposes, although it takes no position on the minimal piercing of the ears by women for one pair of earrings." President Gordon B. Hinckley
At the time my husband and I were very active, temple recommend holding members of the church and had been operating a tattoo studio without any prejudice for many years. We were never treated poorly or shunned by the members of our Ward or Stake. Our Stake President's wife more than once brought her children to our studio to get tattoos. It was such a non issue that one of the ways I billed myself in advertising was Kita Kazoo the Mormon Girl Tattoo Artist.
Since then we both have been subjected to many discussions and debates on the right or wrong of getting and doing tattoos and piercings. At first I would defend my choice of profession using the scriptures, but eventually I got tired of it and began asking those who questioned me to explain to me, what horrible thing would happen in our society if everyone had a tattoo? After all, sins are those things that violate the golden rule and keep us from loving one another, not things such as, what clothing we wear or how we do our hair.
Now, 8 years later the whole subject of tattoos and piercings has in my opinion gotten out of hand. Now it is not so surprising to find that the local church authorities, such as bishops, stake presidents and temple presidents are taking it upon themselves to punish members who choose to get a tattoo. Not just in Utah, but all over the world. This has become such a big issue that people are leaving the church over it.
Some people who have tattoos are told not to take the sacrament and others are not allowed access to the temple. Some are being counseled to not marry those who have tattoos and piercings. As having been a 30+ year student of Mormonism and its history I feel that this behavior is not in line with the teachings of Mormonism or Christianity in any way.
Mormons aren't the only religion that superstitiously believes that tattoos are an evil and to be avoided as they supposedly will lead to worse sins. Many Christian Churches and Jewish Rabbi's do also. And there are good reasons for a religion to not want their flock to get tattoos or piercings.
Getting a tattoo not only changes the way you look but it also changes the way you think and feel about yourself. It is a clear message that you feel that you are the owner of your body and worse of all (to religious leaders), your mind!
Historically tattoos have been used as an expression of faith and commitment. One would think that getting a symbol of your beliefs tattooed on ones self would be encouraged. However, because of the recent history of American tattooing and the popularizations of tattooing, tattoos are being presented by the media and politicians as a dangerous amusement. It is not new for counter-culture decorations to be viewed as repulsive to many of the elders of our society.
When I heard at General Conference that President Gordon Hinckley (the current Mormon Church President) does not like tattoos and some piercings I was not surprised. The tattoos he has been exposed to in his youth were usually not very well done or artistic. Unlike today, tattooed people of his generation, especially in socially backwards Utah may have appeared attractive only to criminals or rough military men, not average everyday people with families and lives of good account.
To further the injury of one's personal opinion of fashion being stated as if it is a law from God, President Hinckley allows for one sort of permanent decorative change to ones appearance and not another, which seems hypocritical to me. Mr. Hinckley allows within the church for women to have their faces tattooed with permanent cosmetics and wear pierced earrings, (but one pair only - one in each ear) as those are socially acceptable with in his peer group.
I feel that these religious leaders are ignorant of tattoo history as a spiritual practice and generally trivialize tattoos and piercings as immoral and frivolous behaviors of rebellion because they do not want their followers to look like everyone else. It is a power game and nothing more. If they can control the way you look they will control the way you think and feel.
I suspect that the shunning of persons with tattoos and piercings is really a part of the whole elitist thought pattern of Mormonism in Utah. Those who have not done their homework are sure to believe that if you look like a Gentile (any non-Mormon) you will act like a Gentile, which means to Mormons that you are without God and are basically led by the Devil.
However it has been my experience that tattoos do not lead to sin. Being uninformed and willing to blindly follow without question is what leads to sin and personal disgrace.
If you are LDS and still considering a tattoo you should first be asking yourself these questions. Does my tattoo choice reflect my beliefs or will they distract from my message of who I am. Am I getting tattooed because I want to immortalize an event in my life, a belief or to rebel against the mainstream culture? Will this tattoo or piercing prevent me from being a good person? The answers to these questions will let you know if you are doing the right thing or reacting poorly to your society. It is my opinion that if you feel having a tattoo would be a healthy positive thing for you, then by all means exercise your own good judgment and free agency and get one.
Keep in mind that in reality "Tattooings are not only ornaments...they are not only emblems of nobility and symbols of rank in the social hierarchy: they are also messages fraught with spiritual and moral significance...not only to imprint a drawing onto the flesh but also to stamp onto the mind all the traditions and philosophy of the group."- Claude Lévi Strauss
Personally I believe that tattoos in and of themselves can not be evil and I don't believe that God cares one way or another if you have one or not, unless you got that tattoo to alienate and hurt other people. Then the real problem is how you feel towards your fellow men and not the tattoo in itself.
People have a right to decorate themselves how they want to. Some people like to put pictures on their bodies and some people don't. It is all a matter of personal taste. I feel it is wrong to subject my taste on others and I expect the same courteousness in return.
This attitude is healthy and normal. This is how it is in the big world where the Mormon lifestyle is not practiced by the majority. Wouldn't the world be great place if we could all mind our own lives and appreciate the good things out there instead of picking on others for being different?
You can do good or evil with everything on this earth. As a heavily tattooed person I have had many more opportunities to love and serve others through tattooing and having tattoos than before I had them. I have had to become more patient and tolerant. Especially have I had to learn to be more patient and tolerant with those who claim to be "spiritual leaders" as they put words in God's mouth rather than follow what they claim God has already spoken.
I have found that most people who have tattoos are more open and friendly towards others. I have found that for the most part people who wear tattoos are very nice people. There are a few people that I have met to whom their tattoos serve more as warning to stay away than an invitation to meet them. Which I feel is also a good thing as it has saved me a lot of time by helping me to avoid an unpleasant interaction with them.
Most people have their personal spiritual philosophy tattooed on them and it becomes a way of opening the opportunity to speak about spiritual things. In this world where we are taught to be afraid of our neighbors it is nice to have a way of really getting to know the people around you. It is nice to have a common bond despite all other social differences.
If you already have a tattoo and are experiencing social rejection issues it is wise remember that things in the church change quickly. I would not be surprised to find that in 20 years having a tattoo won't be an issue at all. The evil music that was preached against in the 60's and 70's is now played regularly at church dances and the Coke and Pepsi drinkers that were denied temple recommends in the 1970's can now go to the temple in spite of their soda habits. It is all a matter of generational perspective, which is bound to change as the old guys finally die off.

Cosmetic Tattoo Supplies

Cosmetic Tattoo Supplies

The new millennium has brought with it a consistently rising demand for a new tattoo related procedure, sometimes vaguely referred to as permanent makeup. For the tattoo artist, this can be a very financially positive new rave, but at the same time, it can be quite frightening. The frightening end of the process comes with the realization that the parts of the body that these procedures take place on are very sensitive areas, such as the eyelids and the lips.
The actual purpose of this technique is to tattoo on certain shades of ink so that the target subject appears to be wearing makeup at all times. This saves a great amount of time for the person getting the permanent makeup, however, the only drawback of it is that it is not removable. As with most tattoos, there usually are no second chances. If you are considering this procedure, think long and hard before taking this step as there is no turning back.
Regardless of the bodily target location of this new aspect of tattooing, the wise artist will definitely learn the tricks of the trade, as the demand for permanent makeup is growing by leaps and bounds and there is not an abundance of studios that currently offer it. To begin with, the artist will need to gather supplies for learning this art. These supplies are generally available through most large-scale tattoo supply distributor, such as Worldwide Tattoo Supply, Joe Kaplan Tattoo Supplies, Tattoo XP and Needle Jack Tattoo supply. Finding the supplies should not be an issue.
The suggested supplies for this type of procedure are instruction manuals (of course), the Medical Issues Book, Esthetics for Permanent Cosmetics Book, Permanent Cosmetics, and the Equipment Manuel. You can obtain various alternatives of these through any distributor, but if you want them quick, you can find them online at the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals.
Even after you obtain these supplies, it is still important to train under a professional for a certain amount of time. The risk for permanent injury and a lawsuit is simply too high to risk going it alone.

The Best Make Up for Blue Eyes

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
The Best Make Up for Blue Eyes
People often ask me what eye shadow colors would be the best match for their eye color. I love this question because there are definitely some eye shadow shades that enhance the beauty of your eye color better than others. This holds especially true for those who have blue eyes.
While you may get away with wearing sassy colors, such as purples, blues, and greens, remember to use a splash of color sparingly to avoid looking clownish. Using these colors along your lashline or as an accent on the outer crease of your eye is a great way to dabble in color without looking inexperienced in makeup application.
However, if you really want to accent the beautiful color of your eye, here are the absolute best colors to make your eye look bolder. Before you apply your eye make up, you need to understand that in order to make eyes look great, you need three different shades of eye shadow.
The first shade is your lightest, called the highlighter. You generally use this just below your brow bone, in the inner corner of your eye, and along the inner third of your eyelid (and as far as the whole eyelid -depending upon your eye shape), to brighten that area.
The second shade is darker, called the midtone. It is usually used along the crease of your eye, blending it upward toward the highlighted area.
The third shade is your darkest, called the accent. You apply this color to the outer part of the crease and along the outer upper and lower lashline. You can make your eyes look more dramatic by using more of the darkest color and applying it along the entire upper and lower lashline.
For blues eyes, use a light, vanilla color for your highlighter. Your midtone should be a nice, neutral brown color. Your accent should be a bronze color, a shade that resembles a penny. Use bronze or deep brown eyeliner and lots of mascara to complete your color combination. Stick with these colors to make your eyes look absolutely stunning.
When you have blue eyes, and get tired of using just neutral browns and want to add a little bit of other colors, be sure to only apply other colors in the accent area. This is the only place where blue-eyed people can get away with using purple, green, and blue, without looking like you've reverted back to the 80's.

Always make sure that at least one of your eye shadows is matte in appearance. Matte shades are usually best as the midtone color, and you can use a bit of shimmer in the highlight and accent areas.
Remember that makeup on bad skin looks like makeup on bad skin. So take care of it so people will notice your eyes more instead of being distracted by your skin's imperfections!

The Life of a Professional Makeup Artist

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
The Life of a Professional Makeup ArtistMakeup artistry is an increasingly popular profession to go into. Have a quick look at a directory of courses available at colleges up and down the country and you'll be presented with a plethora of options. Given the enthusiasm for makeup that many young girls have, it's hardly surprising that it's turning into quite a popular career choice, and certainly, from the outside it must seem like a tremendously glamorous career.
As with anything else however, the life of a professional makeup artist can be incredibly hard work. In order to start, you will be expected to have a qualification, and so will have spent time and money on gaining this qualification. That's the easy part.
Most makeup artists work freelance. This is particularly true of makeup artists who work in the media sectors (the most sought after jobs) as almost all sectors of the media are predominantly self-employed. This has two significant implications.
The first is that any working makeup artist will be expected to have their own stock of professional makeup provisions and supplies. Look in any half-decent makeup artist's makeup bag and you will see something that is crammed full of products running into thousands of pounds. Makeup artists' provisions certainly don't come cheap, and they need to have a wide selection available for all sorts of work - beautifying, scars, wounds; the whole gamut of applications.
The second implication of working freelance is the insecurity of the job and the time spent getting work. Any freelancer will tell you that it can be enormously stressful living from job to job, and there are periods where you may not get any work at all. It's these periods that you may find yourself constantly hustling for work without getting any, and you may find yourself working harder than ever for nothing.
This is not to say that's it's not fantastic. The advantage of freelance work is that you have the freedom to be your own boss, and owning all your equipment means you have no responsibility to anyone but yourself. It just means that you have to be prepared to put in some hard graft in order to get work. Commonly, freelancers would expect to spend at least 50% of their time hustling, and the other 50% actually working. If that doesn't sound like you, perhaps this isn't the life you were made for.
